A. Eco friendly products are products that have a less harmful relationship with people and planet than many chemical based ones.
Q. Why use eco products?
A. Using eco products can help to protect the environment. We live in a world where there is immense waste. We are constantly looking for a quck fix; our consumption rate of goods is increasing at an alarming rate and we are using up our resources faster than we can replace them. Switching our habits to use more eco products means we can minimise our negative impact on the earth and offer her the chance for regeneration and sustainability. Many everyday cleaning agents and are derived from petroleum which can have a detrimental impact on health.
Q. How does using eco products contribute to our health and well being?
A. Did you know that air pollution rates are sometimes 2 -5 times higher indoors than outside? Using eco products can help to reduce the toxins and improve the health of your home, potentially reducing allergies and asthma symptoms and lower our risk of respiratory illness.

Q. Which products do you use?
A. Nature Shine takes eco friendly cleaning very seriously. Therefore we use a range of high quality products including Wikaniko, Bio - D and natural products like white vinegar and baking soda. The products contain mostly plant based materials and don't leave the same kind of nasty residue that occurs with chemical based cleaners.
Q. What about cleaning cloths?
A. Nature Shine uses micro-fibre cleaning cloths as their structure allows for much better cleaning of surfaces and crevices. Micro-fibre cloths are highly absorbant and can clean effectively without chemicals. Clean washed colour coded cloths are used for each visit. Micro-fibre cloths can absorb up to 8 times their weight in fluid and require less water to use thus making them an effective cleaning material.
Q. Do you bring your own equipment?
A. For hygiene reasons and also to minimise cross contamination between houses or businesses we will use your vacuum cleaner, dust pan and brush, floor mop and bucket and loo brush.
Q. How long does it take to clean my home or business?
A. Each home or business is different. An initial clean will take longer and then we will determine with you the length of the appointment and what can be cleaned within that time. Nature Shine offers a flexible approach and so if something requires a little extra time then we are happy to accomodate.
Q. Should I do anything prior to your arrival?
A.Nature Shine will not make any value judgements about how clean and tidy your home is or isn't. Please don't rush around with the vacuum cleaner prior to the cleaner arriving!
Q. Do I need to be home for you to clean?
A. No. Nature Shine has clients who have given us a spare key. Do whatever works for you.
Q. Do I need to sign a contract with you?
A. No, there is no contract to sign, however we do ask that you try and give 4 weeks termination notification.
Q. Can I buy the products that you use?
A. Yes absolutely and we would ecourage you to use eco friendly products. You can click on the shop link on this website for a range of eco goodies or just ask for a catalogue. We can also deliver the products to your door.
Q. Do you have a cancellation policy?
A. Yes. Please give at least 24 hours notice of a cancellation. Failure to do so may incur a fee, charged at your usual rate. However there will be no fee charged if you reschedule the visit in the same week.
